Jerry Xu
Most recently, Jerry led Intel’s Shanghai team for Intel’s Non-Volatile Solutions Group. In this capacity he managed the operations of SSD contract manufacturing, driving local collaboration with the Data Center Solution Group and Software Solution Group as well as the Sales and Marketing Group to drive NVMe adoption and Solid-State Drive growth in the region. In 2008, Jerry became General Manager of the Asia-Pacific Division of the Embedded Solutions Group for Numonyx, whose scope included not just all local R&D but also marketing and business development throughout the region. He transitioned this team and site into Numonyx as it was acquired by Micron in 2010, continuing in largely the same role and in many cases expanding the team's capability such as starting an application engineering lab to research customer usage models and develop optimized memory solutions. Jerry started his career with positions at compounded semiconductor research and then stepped into semiconductor industry from Siliconix (Vishay) and Intel in both manufacturing and development roles. He ultimately became the overall R&D and site leader for Intel’s Flash Products Group in Pu Dong.
Jerry received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics in 1991 from Shanghai University of Science and Technology. He is the former representative of the people's Congress of Pudong New Area, Shanghai.
